Revelation 5:5-12

Thomson(i) 5 one of the elders saith to me, "weep not; behold! the lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the volume and to loose the seven seals thereof." 6 Then I looked and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four animate beings and in the midst of the elders stood a lamb as if it had been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he went and took the book out of the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne. 8 And when he took the book, the four animate beings and the four and twenty elders fell down before the lamb, having, every of them, kitharas and golden cups full of incense which is the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art thou to take the book and to open the seals of it, because thou hast been slain and hast purchased us for God with thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation; 10 and hast made us kings and priests for our God, and we shall reign on the earth." 11 And I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the animate beings and the elders and the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing."
