Alas! that great city Babylon! that 'mighty city! for in one hour thy judgment is come. ¹¹ The merchants of the earth also will weep and mourn for her; because no one any more buyeth their merchandize ¹² the merchandize of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls; and of cotton and purple and silk and scarlet; and every sort of odoriferous wood and the various wares of ivory and of most precious wood and of brass and iron and marble, ¹³ and cinnamon and frankincense and myrrh and incense and wine and oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep and horses and chariots and the bodies and souls of men.
