Mark 7:20-23 But, said he, it is that which cometh out of a man, which defileth him.

Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁰ But, said he, it is that which cometh out of a man, which defileth him. ²¹ For from within, out of the heart of man, proceed those evil surmises, adulteries, fornications, murders, ²² thefts, inordinate desires, malice, fraud, sensuality, envy, detraction, pride, foolishness. ²³ All these are the evil things which come from within, and defile the man.
