29 Whereupon Jesus answered, This is the chief of all the commandments: "Hear, O Israel, The Lord is our God:
30 the Lord is one: and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thine understanding, and with all thy strength." This is the first commandment.
31 And the second, resembling it, is this, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself". There is no other commandment greater than these.
32 Upon this the Scribe said to him, right! Teacher! thou hast said truly that there is one God; and there is no other besides him:
33 and to love him with the whole heart, and with the whole understanding, and with the whole soul, and with the whole strength; and to love one's neighbour as himself, is more than all the burnt offerings and the sacrifices.
