Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁶ Then he spoke a parable to them saying, There was a certain rich man, whose ground produced plenteously. ¹⁷ Whereupon he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do; for I have not room to store my crops. ¹⁸ Then he said, I will do this. I will pull down my store houses and build larger, and there lay up all my produce and my good things. ¹⁹ And I will say to my soul; Soul, thou hast many good things laid up in store for many years: take thine ease; eat; drink; and be joyful. ²⁰ Whereupon God said to him; Fool, this very night this soul of thine will be demanded of thee. Whose then will those things be which thou hast provided? ²¹ Thus let every one [say] to himself who is heaping up treasure and is not rich for God.
