26 For it suited us to have such a chief priest"one holy, innocent, undefined, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens,
27 who is not under a daily necessity [as the chief priests are,] of offering sacrifices first for his own sins, and then for those of the people; for this he did once for all when he offered up himself.
28 For the law constituteth men chief priests who have infirmities; but the word of the oath which succeedeth the law [constituted] the Son, who is consecrated forever.
