For Christ our Paschal lamb is indeed slain for us, ⁸ so that we should keep the festival, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of wickedness and malignity; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ⁹ I wrote to you in that letter not to associate with fornicators, ¹⁰ not including in general the fornicators of this world, nor those who are immoderate in their desires, or rapacious, or idolaters; since in that case you must needs have gone out of the world. ¹¹ But this is what I now write to you, that if any one named a brother, be a fornicator, or one who gratifieth immoderate desires, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, you are not to associate; no, nor eat with such a one. ¹² For what have I to do with passing sentence on those who are without? Is not this the case? On those within you are to pass sentence, ¹³ and God will pass sentence on those without. Therefore remove the wicked person from among yourselves.
