1 Corinthians 4:9-13

Thomson(i) 9 For it seems as if God had exhibited us, the apostles, last on the stage as devoted to death since we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men. 10 We are fools on the account of Christ; but you are prudent in Christ: We are weak; but you are strong: you are honourable; but we are despised: 11 Even at this very moment we are hungry and thirsty and naked and buffeted, and are wandering about and weary, 12 working with our own hands. Being reviled we give good words; being persecuted we suffer patiently; 13 being defamed we exhort. We are become as it were the expiatory sacrifices of the world; the refuse of all things until now.
