Matthew 24:1-14

Riverside(i) 1 JESUS left the Temple courts and was going away when his disciples came to point out to him the Temple buildings. 2 He answered them, "Do you not see all these things? I tell you truly there will not be left here one stone upon another which will not be thrown down." 3 While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately and said, "Tell us when these things will be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world?" 4 Jesus answered them, "Make sure that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in my name and will say, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray. 6 You will soon hear of wars and rumors of wars. Take care and do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes here and there. 8 All of these things are the beginnings of birth-pangs. 9 Then they will deliver you up to persecution and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the Gentiles on account of my name. 10 Then many will stumble and fall and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray, 12 and because of the wide spread of lawlessness the love of most will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the inhabited world for a testimony to all the Gentiles. And then will come the end.
