RKJNT⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more. ² For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. ³ For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you should abstain from sexual immorality, ⁴ That every one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in holiness and honour; ⁵ Not in the lust of passion, as the Gentiles who do not know God: ⁶ That no man might transgress and defraud his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, as we also have told you and warned you. ⁷ For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness. ⁸ Therefore, he who rejects this, does not reject man, but God, who has also given you his Holy Spirit.
