26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, he baptizeth, and all men are going to him.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, unless it be given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I was sent before that man.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegrooms voice. This my joy then hath become full.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
