Noyes⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹³ Meats are for the stomach, and the stomach for meats; but God will make an end of both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body; ¹⁴ and God both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his power. ¹⁵ Know ye not, that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid! ¹⁶ Know ye not, that he who is connected with a harlot is one body with her? "For the two," saith he, "shall become one flesh;" ¹⁷ but he that is connected with the Lord is one spirit with him. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every other sin which a man may commit, is apart from the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.
