21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by its wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe;
22 since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom;
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumblingblock, and to gentiles foolishness,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
