It had writing on the inside and on the back and was sealed with seven seals. ² And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming with a loud voice: »Who is worthy to open the book, and to remove the seals?« ³ No one in heaven, on earth or under the earth was able to open the book and look inside. ⁴ I wept much because no one was found worthy to open, look inside, and read the book. ⁵ One of the elders said to me: »Do not weep; the Lion of the tribe of Judah of the Root of David has succeeded in opening the book and removing the seven seals.«
