50 Joseph was a member of the council and a good and righteous man.
51 He was from Arimathaea a city of the Jews and was looking for the kingdom of God.
52 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
53 He took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth. Then he laid him in a tomb that was carved in stone. No man had ever lain in this tomb.
