1 Timothy 2:1-8

NSB(i) 1 I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 They should be made for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. 4 It is God’s desire that all men have salvation and come to the full (precise) (accurate) (correct) knowledge (Greek: epignosis: recognition, discernment) of the truth. 5 There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave himself as a ransom for all. A witness was to be given at the right time. 7 Because of this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle. What I say is true, not false, and I am a teacher of the nations in the true faith. 8 I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument.
