Murdock⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷⁶ And thou, child, wilt be called a prophet of the Most High; for thou wilt go before the face of the Lord, to prepare his way, ⁷⁷ that he may give the knowledge of life to his people, and forgiveness of their sins, ⁷⁸ through the compassion of the mercy of our God; whereby the day-spring from on high will visit us, ⁷⁹ to give light to them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death; and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
