Luke 13:6-9

Mace(i) 6 He proposed likewise this parable: a certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came expecting it should have had fruit, but he found none. 7 then he said to the vine-dresser, you see, I have been looking these three years for fruit from this fig-tree, but find none: hew it down, why should it cumber my ground? 8 to which he made answer, sir, let it alone one year longer, till I shall dig about it, and dung it. 9 perhaps it may bear fruit: if not, you may after that hew it down.
