13 you call me master, and lord: and you are in the right; for so I am.
14 if I then, tho' lord and master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 for I have given you example, that you might behave to one another, as I have to you.
16 I declare unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord, neither he that is sent, greater than he that sent him.
17 if ye comprehend these things, happy are ye if ye put them in practice.
18 I say not this of you all; for I know whom I have chosen: and that passage of the scripture must be fulfilled, "He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me."
