MLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁰ Those who have been persecuted because of righteousness are fortunate, because theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ You are fortunate whenever they reproach and persecute you and say every evil word against you–lying, because of me. ¹² Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is much in the heavens; for thus, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
