MLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁴ For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘He who is speaking evil of their father or mother, let him be ended by the sentence of death.’ ⁵ But you say, Whoever says to his father or his mother, in whatever you might have been profited from me, it is a gift to God, ⁶ and then should never honor his father and mother, and thus you invalidated the commandment of God because of your tradition.
