MLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁴ Now they, having heard it, lifted up their voice to God united and said, O Lord, you are the God who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all the things in them; ²⁵ who through the mouth of our father David your young-servant, said, ‘Why do the Gentiles rage and the peoples meditate on empty things? ²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up and the rulers were gathered in the same place, against the Lord and against his Christ.’ ²⁷ For against truth, against your holy young-servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together ²⁸ to do as many things as your hand and your council predetermined to happen.
