John 5:18-25

LITV(i) 18 Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except what He may see the Father doing; for whatever that One does, these things also the Son does the same way. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel. 21 For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. 25 Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.
