Judges 9:7-20 And when they told it to Jotham , he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim , and lifted up his voice , and cried , and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem , that God may hearken unto you.

9 H2132 But the olive tree H559 said [H8799] H2308 unto them, Should I leave [H8804] H1880 my fatness H3513 , wherewith by me they honour [H8762] H430 God H582 and man H1980 , and go [H8804] H5128 to be promoted [H8800] H6086 over the trees?

14 H559 Then said [H8799] H6086 all the trees H329 unto the bramble H3212 , Come [H8798] H4427 thou, and reign [H8798] over us.

15 H329 And the bramble H559 said [H8799] H6086 unto the trees H571 , If in truth H4886 ye anoint [H8802] H4428 me king H935 over you, then come [H8798] H2620 and put your trust [H8798] H6738 in my shadow H784 : and if not, let fire H3318 come out [H8799] H329 of the bramble H398 , and devour [H8799] H730 the cedars H3844 of Lebanon.

16 H6213 Now therefore, if ye have done [H8804] H571 truly H8549 and sincerely H40 , in that ye have made Abimelech H4427 king [H8686] H6213 , and if ye have dealt [H8804] H2896 well H3378 with Jerubbaal H1004 and his house H6213 , and have done [H8804] H1576 unto him according to the deserving H3027 of his hands;

19 H6213 If ye then have dealt [H8804] H571 truly H8549 and sincerely H3378 with Jerubbaal H1004 and with his house H3117 this day H8055 , then rejoice [H8798] H40 ye in Abimelech H8055 , and let him also rejoice [H8799] in you:

20 H784 But if not, let fire H3318 come out [H8799] H40 from Abimelech H398 , and devour [H8799] H1167 the men H7927 of Shechem H1004 , and the house H4407 of Millo [H8677] H1037 H784 ; and let fire H3318 come out [H8799] H1167 from the men H7927 of Shechem H1004 , and from the house H4407 of Millo [H8676] H1037 H398 , and devour [H8799] H40 Abimelech.
