John 1:2-18

  3 G3956 All things G1096 were made [G5633]   G1223 by G846 him G2532 ; and G5565 without G846 him G1096 was G3761 not G1520 any thing G1096 made [G5633]   G3739 that G1096 was made [G5754]  .

  4 G1722 In G846 him G2258 was [G5713]   G2222 life G2532 ; and G2222 the life G2258 was [G5713]   G5457 the light G444 of men.

  5 G2532 And G5457 the light G5316 shineth [G5719]   G1722 in G4653 darkness G2532 ; and G4653 the darkness G2638 comprehended [G5627]   G846 it G3756 not.

  6 G1096 There was [G5633]   G444 a man G649 sent [G5772]   G3844 from G2316 God G846 , whose G3686 name G2491 was John.

  7 G3778 The same G2064 came [G5627]   G1519 for G3141 a witness G2443 , to G3140 bear witness [G5661]   G4012 of G5457 the Light G2443 , that G3956 all G1223 men through G846 him G4100 might believe [G5661]  .

  8 G2258 He was [G5713]   G3756 not G1565 that G5457 Light G235 , but G2443 was sent to G3140 bear witness [G5661]   G4012 of G5457 that Light.

  9 G2258 That was [G5713]   G228 the true G5457 Light G3739 , which G5461 lighteth [G5719]   G3956 every man G444   G2064 that cometh [G5740]   G1519 into G2889 the world.

  10 G2258 He was [G5713]   G1722 in G2889 the world G2532 , and G2889 the world G1096 was made [G5633]   G1223 by G846 him G2532 , and G2889 the world G1097 knew [G5627]   G846 him G3756 not.

  11 G2064 He came [G5627]   G1519 unto G2398 his own G2532 , and G2398 his own G3880 received [G5627]   G846 him G3756 not.

  12 G1161 But G3745 as many as G2983 received [G5627]   G846 him G846 , to them G1325 gave he [G5656]   G1849 power G1096 to become [G5635]   G5043 the sons G2316 of God G4100 , even to them that believe [G5723]   G1519 on G846 his G3686 name:

  14 G2532 And G3056 the Word G1096 was made [G5633]   G4561 flesh G2532 , and G4637 dwelt [G5656]   G1722 among G2254 us G2532 , (and G2300 we beheld [G5662]   G846 his G1391 glory G1391 , the glory G5613 as G3439 of the only begotten G3844 of G3962 the Father G4134 ,) full G5485 of grace G2532 and G225 truth.

  15 G2491 John G3140 bare witness [G5719]   G4012 of G846 him G2532 , and G2896 cried [G5754]   G3004 , saying [G5723]   G3778 , This G2258 was he [G5713]   G3739 of whom G2036 I spake [G5627]   G2064 , He that cometh [G5740]   G3694 after G3450 me G1096 is preferred [G5754]   G1715 before G3450 me G3754 : for G2258 he was [G5713]   G4413 before G3450 me.

  16 G2532 And G1537 of G846 his G4138 fulness G2983 have G3956 all G2249 we G2983 received [G5627]   G2532 , and G5485 grace G473 for G5485 grace.

  17 G3754 For G3551 the law G1325 was given [G5681]   G1223 by G3475 Moses G5485 , but grace G2532 and G225 truth G1096 came [G5633]   G1223 by G2424 Jesus G5547 Christ.
