Ezra 6

  2 H7912 And there was found [H8728]   H307 at Achmetha H1001 , in the palace H4083 that is in the province H4076 of the Medes H2298 , a H4040 roll H1459 , and therein H1799 was a record H3652 thus H3790 written [H8752]  :

  3 H2298 In the first H8140 year H3567 of Cyrus H4430 the king H3567 the same Cyrus H4430 the king H7761 made [H8754]   H2942 a decree H1005 concerning the house H426 of God H3390 at Jerusalem H1005 , Let the house H1124 be builded [H8731]   H870 , the place H1684 where they offered [H8751]   H1685 sacrifices H787 , and let the foundations H5446 thereof be strongly laid [H8775]   H7314 ; the height H8361 thereof threescore H521 cubits H6613 , and the breadth H8361 thereof threescore H521 cubits;

  4 H8532 With three H5073 rows H1560 of great H69 stones H5073 , and a row H2323 of new H636 timber H5313 : and let the expenses H3052 be given [H8725]   H4481 out of H4430 the king's H1005 house:

  5 H638 And also H1722 let the golden H3702 and silver H3984 vessels H1005 of the house H426 of God H5020 , which Nebuchadnezzar H5312 took forth [H8684]   H4481 out of H1965 the temple H3390 which is at Jerusalem H2987 , and brought [H8684]   H895 unto Babylon H8421 , be restored [H8681]   H1946 , and brought again [H8748]   H1965 unto the temple H3390 which is at Jerusalem H870 , every one to his place H5182 , and place [H8681]   H1005 them in the house H426 of God.

  6 H3705 Now [H8674] therefore, Tatnai H6347 , governor H5675 beyond H5103 the river H8370 , Shetharboznai H3675 , and your companions H671 the Apharsachites H5675 , which are beyond H5103 the river H1934 , be ye [H8754]   H7352 far H4481 from H8536 thence:

  7 H5673 Let the work H1791 of this H1005 house H426 of God H7662 alone [H8747]   H6347 ; let the governor H3062 of the Jews H7868 and the elders [H8750]   H3062 of the Jews H1124 build [H8748]   H1791 this H1005 house H426 of God H5922 in H870 his place.

  8 H4481 Moreover I H7761 make [H8752]   H2942 a decree H3964 what H5648 ye shall do [H8748]   H5974 to H7868 the elders [H8750]   H479 of these H3062 Jews H1124 for the building [H8749]   H1791 of this H1005 house H426 of God H4430 : that of the king's H5232 goods H1768 , even of H4061 the tribute H5675 beyond H5103 the river H629 , forthwith H5313 expenses H1934 be [H8748]   H3052 given [H8727]   H479 unto these H1400 men H3809 , that they be not H989 hindered [H8749]  .

  9 H4101 And that which H2818 they have need of [H8750]   H1123 , both young H8450 bullocks H1798 , and rams H563 , and lambs H5928 , for the burnt offerings H426 of the God H8065 of heaven H2591 , wheat H4416 , salt H2562 , wine H4887 , and oil H3983 , according to the appointment H3549 of the priests H3390 which are at Jerusalem H1934 , let it be [H8748]   H3052 given [H8727]   H3118 them day H3118 by day H3809 without H7960 fail:

  10 H1934 That they may offer [H8748]   H7127   [H8683]   H5208 sacrifices of sweet savours H426 unto the God H8065 of heaven H6739 , and pray [H8743]   H2417 for the life H4430 of the king H1123 , and of his sons.

  11 H4481 Also H7761 I have made [H8752]   H2942 a decree H3606 , that whosoever H606   H8133 shall alter [H8681]   H1836 this H6600 word H636 , let timber H5256 be pulled down [H8725]   H4481 from H1005 his house H2211 , and being set up [H8752]   H4223 , let him be hanged [H8725]   H5922 thereon H1005 ; and let his house H5648 be made [H8725]   H5122 a dunghill H5922 for H1836 this.

  12 H426 And the God H8036 that hath caused his name H7932 to dwell [H8745]   H8536 there H4049 destroy [H8741]   H3606 all H4430 kings H5972 and people H7972 , that shall put [H8748]   H3028 to their hand H8133 to alter [H8682]   H2255 and to destroy [H8742]   H1791 this H1005 house H426 of God H3390 which is at Jerusalem H576 . I H1868 Darius H7761 have made [H8754]   H2942 a decree H5648 ; let it be done [H8725]   H629 with speed.

  13 H116 Then [H8674] Tatnai H6347 , governor H5675 on this side H5103 the river H8370 , Shetharboznai H3675 , and their companions H6903 , according H1868 to that which Darius H4430 the king H7972 had sent [H8754]   H3660 , so H5648 they did [H8754]   H629 speedily.

  14 H7868 And the elders [H8750]   H3062 of the Jews H1124 builded [H8750]   H6744 , and they prospered [H8683]   H5017 through the prophesying H2292 of Haggai H5029 the prophet H2148 and Zechariah H1247 the son H5714 of Iddo H1124 . And they builded [H8754]   H3635 , and finished [H8806]   H4481 it, according H2941 to the commandment H426 of the God H3479 of Israel H2942 , and according to the commandment H3567 of Cyrus H1868 , and Darius H783 , and Artaxerxes H4430 king H6540 of Persia.

  15 H1836 And this H1005 house H3319 was finished [H8806]   H5705 on H8532 the third H3118 day H3393 of the month H144 Adar H1932 , which was H8353 in the sixth H8140 year H4437 of the reign H1868 of Darius H4430 the king.

  16 H1123 And the children H3479 of Israel H3549 , the priests H3879 , and the Levites H7606 , and the rest H1123 of the children H1547 of the captivity H5648 , kept [H8754]   H2597 the dedication H1836 of this H1005 house H426 of God H2305 with joy,

  17 H7127 And offered [H8684]   H2597 at the dedication H1836 of this H1005 house H426 of God H3969 an hundred H8450 bullocks H3969 , two hundred H1798 rams H703 , four H3969 hundred H563 lambs H2402 ; and for a sin offering [H8675]   H2409   H5922 for H3606 all H3479 Israel H8648 , twelve H6236   H6841 he H5796 goats H4510 , according to the number H7625 of the tribes H3479 of Israel.

  18 H6966 And they set [H8684]   H3549 the priests H6392 in their divisions H3879 , and the Levites H4255 in their courses H5922 , for H5673 the service H426 of God H3390 , which is at Jerusalem H3792 ; as it is written H5609 in the book H4873 of Moses.

  19 H1121 And the children H1473 of the captivity H6213 kept [H8799]   H6453 the passover H702 upon the fourteenth H6240   H7223 day of the first H2320 month.

  20 H3548 For the priests H3881 and the Levites H2891 were purified [H8694]   H259 together H2889 , all of them were pure H7819 , and killed [H8799]   H6453 the passover H1121 for all the children H1473 of the captivity H251 , and for their brethren H3548 the priests, and for themselves.

  21 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H7725 , which were come again [H8802]   H1473 out of captivity H914 , and all such as had separated [H8737]   H2932 themselves unto them from the filthiness H1471 of the heathen H776 of the land H1875 , to seek [H8800]   H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H398 , did eat [H8799]  ,

  22 H6213 And kept [H8799]   H2282 the feast H4682 of unleavened bread H7651 seven H3117 days H8057 with joy H3068 : for the LORD H8055 had made them joyful [H8765]   H5437 , and turned [H8689]   H3820 the heart H4428 of the king H804 of Assyria H2388 unto them, to strengthen [H8763]   H3027 their hands H4399 in the work H1004 of the house H430 of God H430 , the God H3478 of Israel.
