Exodus 24 And he said unto Moses , Come up unto the LORD , thou, and Aaron , Nadab , and Abihu , and seventy of the elders of Israel ; and worship ye afar off.

2 H4872 And Moses H5066 alone shall come near [H8738] H3068 the LORD H5066 : but they shall not come nigh [H8799] H5971 ; neither shall the people H5927 go up [H8799] with him.

3 H4872 And Moses H935 came [H8799] H5608 and told [H8762] H5971 the people H1697 all the words H3068 of the LORD H4941 , and all the judgments H5971 : and all the people H6030 answered [H8799] H259 with one H6963 voice H559 , and said [H8799] H1697 , All the words H3068 which the LORD H1696 hath said [H8765] H6213 will we do [H8799] .

4 H4872 And Moses H3789 wrote [H8799] H1697 all the words H3068 of the LORD H7925 , and rose up early [H8686] H1242 in the morning H1129 , and builded [H8799] H4196 an altar H2022 under the hill H4676 , and twelve pillars H8147 , according to the twelve H6240 H7626 tribes H3478 of Israel.

5 H7971 And he sent [H8799] H5288 young men H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5927 , which offered [H8686] H5930 burnt offerings H2076 , and sacrificed [H8799] H8002 peace H2077 offerings H6499 of oxen H3068 unto the LORD.

6 H4872 And Moses H3947 took [H8799] H2677 half H1818 of the blood H7760 , and put [H8799] H101 it in basons H2677 ; and half H1818 of the blood H2236 he sprinkled [H8804] H4196 on the altar.

7 H3947 And he took [H8799] H5612 the book H1285 of the covenant H7121 , and read [H8799] H241 in the audience H5971 of the people H559 : and they said [H8799] H3068 , All that the LORD H1696 hath said [H8765] H6213 will we do [H8799] H8085 , and be obedient [H8799] .

8 H4872 And Moses H3947 took [H8799] H1818 the blood H2236 , and sprinkled [H8799] H5971 it on the people H559 , and said [H8799] H1818 , Behold the blood H1285 of the covenant H3068 , which the LORD H3772 hath made [H8804] H1697 with you concerning all these words.

9 H5927 Then went up [H8799] H4872 Moses H175 , and Aaron H5070 , Nadab H30 , and Abihu H7657 , and seventy H2205 of the elders H3478 of Israel:

10 H7200 And they saw [H8799] H430 the God H3478 of Israel H7272 : and there was under his feet H3840 as it were a paved H4639 work H5601 of a sapphire stone H6106 , and as it were the body H8064 of heaven H2892 in his clearness.

11 H678 And upon the nobles H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H7971 he laid [H8804] H3027 not his hand H2372 : also they saw [H8799] H430 God H398 , and did eat [H8799] H8354 and drink [H8799] .

12 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799] H4872 unto Moses H5927 , Come up [H8798] H2022 to me into the mount H5414 , and be there: and I will give [H8799] H3871 thee tables H68 of stone H8451 , and a law H4687 , and commandments H3789 which I have written [H8804] H3384 ; that thou mayest teach [H8687] them.

13 H4872 And Moses H6965 rose up [H8799] H8334 , and his minister [H8764] H3091 Joshua H4872 : and Moses H5927 went up [H8799] H2022 into the mount H430 of God.

14 H559 And he said [H8804] H2205 unto the elders H3427 , Tarry [H8798] H2088 ye here H7725 for us, until we come again [H8799] H175 unto you: and, behold, Aaron H2354 and Hur H4310 are with you: if any H1167 man H1697 have any matters H1167 to do H5066 , let him come [H8799] unto them.

15 H4872 And Moses H5927 went up [H8799] H2022 into the mount H6051 , and a cloud H3680 covered [H8762] H2022 the mount.

16 H3519 And the glory H3068 of the LORD H7931 abode [H8799] H2022 upon mount H5514 Sinai H6051 , and the cloud H3680 covered [H8762] H8337 it six H3117 days H7637 : and the seventh H3117 day H7121 he called [H8799] H4872 unto Moses H8432 out of the midst H6051 of the cloud.

17 H4758 And the sight H3519 of the glory H3068 of the LORD H398 was like devouring [H8802] H784 fire H7218 on the top H2022 of the mount H5869 in the eyes H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel.

18 H4872 And Moses H935 went [H8799] H8432 into the midst H6051 of the cloud H5927 , and gat him up [H8799] H2022 into the mount H4872 : and Moses H2022 was in the mount H705 forty H3117 days H705 and forty H3915 nights.
