Deuteronomy 13:1-18

  1 H6965 If there arise [H8799]   H7130 among H5030 you a prophet H2492 , or a dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H5414 , and giveth [H8804]   H226 thee a sign H4159 or a wonder,

  2 H226 And the sign H4159 or the wonder H935 come to pass [H8804]   H1696 , whereof he spake [H8765]   H559 unto thee, saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H310 after H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which thou hast not known [H8804]   H5647 , and let us serve [H8714]   them;

  3 H8085 Thou shalt not hearken [H8799]   H1697 unto the words H5030 of that prophet H2492 , or that dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H3068 : for the LORD H430 your God H5254 proveth [H8764]   H3045 you, to know [H8800]   H3426 whether ye H157 love [H8802]   H3068 the LORD H430 your God H3824 with all your heart H5315 and with all your soul.

  4 H3212 Ye shall walk [H8799]   H310 after H3068 the LORD H430 your God H3372 , and fear [H8799]   H8104 him, and keep [H8799]   H4687 his commandments H8085 , and obey [H8799]   H6963 his voice H5647 , and ye shall serve [H8799]   H1692 him, and cleave [H8799]   unto him.

  5 H5030 And that prophet H2492 , or that dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H4191 , shall be put to death [H8714]   H1696 ; because he hath spoken [H8765]   H5627 to turn H3068 you away from the LORD H430 your God H3318 , which brought you out [H8688]   H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H6299 , and redeemed [H8802]   H1004 you out of the house H5650 of bondage H5080 , to thrust [H8687]   H1870 thee out of the way H3068 which the LORD H430 thy God H6680 commanded [H8765]   H3212 thee to walk in [H8800]   H1197 . So shalt thou put H7451 the evil H1197 away [H8765]   H7130 from the midst of thee.

  6 H251 If thy brother H1121 , the son H517 of thy mother H1121 , or thy son H1323 , or thy daughter H802 , or the wife H2436 of thy bosom H7453 , or thy friend H5315 , which is as thine own soul H5496 , entice [H8686]   H5643 thee secretly H559 , saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H5647 and serve [H8799]   H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which thou hast not known [H8804]   H1 , thou, nor thy fathers;

  7 H430 Namely, of the gods H5971 of the people H5439 which are round about H7138 you, nigh H7350 unto thee, or far off H7097 from thee, from the one end H776 of the earth H7097 even unto the other end H776 of the earth;

  8 H14 Thou shalt not consent [H8799]   H8085 unto him, nor hearken [H8799]   H5869 unto him; neither shall thine eye H2347 pity [H8799]   H2550 him, neither shalt thou spare [H8799]   H3680 , neither shalt thou conceal [H8762]   him:

  9 H2026 But thou shalt surely [H8800]   H2026 kill [H8799]   H3027 him; thine hand H7223 shall be first H4191 upon him to put him to death [H8687]   H314 , and afterwards H3027 the hand H5971 of all the people.

  10 H5619 And thou shalt stone [H8804]   H68 him with stones H4191 , that he die [H8804]   H1245 ; because he hath sought [H8765]   H5080 to thrust thee away [H8687]   H3068 from the LORD H430 thy God H3318 , which brought thee out [H8688]   H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H1004 , from the house H5650 of bondage.

  11 H3478 And all Israel H8085 shall hear [H8799]   H3372 , and fear [H8799]   H6213 , and shall do [H8800]   H3254 no more [H8686]   H1697 any H7451 such wickedness H7130 as this is among you.

  12 H8085 If thou shalt hear [H8799]   H259 say in one H5892 of thy cities H3068 , which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 hath given [H8802]   H3427 thee to dwell [H8800]   H559 there, saying [H8800]  ,

  13 H582 Certain men H1121 , the children H1100 of Belial H3318 , are gone out [H8804]   H7130 from among H5080 you, and have withdrawn [H8686]   H3427 the inhabitants [H8802]   H5892 of their city H559 , saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H5647 and serve [H8799]   H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which ye have not known [H8804]  ;

  14 H1875 Then shalt thou enquire [H8804]   H2713 , and make search [H8804]   H7592 , and ask [H8804]   H3190 diligently [H8687]   H571 ; and, behold, if it be truth H1697 , and the thing H3559 certain [H8737]   H2063 , that such H8441 abomination H6213 is wrought [H8738]   H7130 among you;

  15 H5221 Thou shalt surely [H8687]   H5221 smite [H8686]   H3427 the inhabitants [H8802]   H5892 of that city H6310 with the edge H2719 of the sword H2763 , destroying it utterly [H8685]   H929 , and all that is therein, and the cattle H6310 thereof, with the edge H2719 of the sword.

  16 H6908 And thou shalt gather [H8799]   H7998 all the spoil H8432 of it into the midst H7339 of the street H8313 thereof, and shalt burn [H8804]   H784 with fire H5892 the city H7998 , and all the spoil H3632 thereof every whit H3068 , for the LORD H430 thy God H8510 : and it shall be an heap H5769 for ever H1129 ; it shall not be built again [H8735]  .

  17 H1692 And there shall cleave [H8799]   H3972 nought H2764 of the cursed thing H3027 to thine hand H3068 : that the LORD H7725 may turn [H8799]   H2740 from the fierceness H639 of his anger H5414 , and shew [H8804]   H7356 thee mercy H7355 , and have compassion [H8765]   H7235 upon thee, and multiply [H8689]   H7650 thee, as he hath sworn [H8738]   H1 unto thy fathers;

  18 H8085 When thou shalt hearken [H8799]   H6963 to the voice H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God H8104 , to keep [H8800]   H4687 all his commandments H6680 which I command [H8764]   H3117 thee this day H6213 , to do [H8800]   H3477 that which is right H5869 in the eyes H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God.
