1 Corinthians 7:29-40 But this I say , brethren , the time is short : it remaineth , that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

The unmarried woman G3309 careth for [G5719] G3588 the things G2962 of the Lord G2443 , that G5600 she may be [G5753] G40 holy G2532 both G4983 in body G2532 and G4151 in spirit G1161 : but G1060 she that is married [G5660] G3309 careth [G5719] G3588 for the things G2889 of the world G4459 , how G700 she may please [G5692] G435 her husband.

39 G1135 The wife G1210 is bound [G5769] G3551 by the law G1909 G5550 as long G3745 as G846 her G435 husband G2198 liveth [G5719] G1161 ; but G1437 if G846 her G435 husband G2837 be dead [G5686] G2076 , she is [G5748] G1658 at liberty G1060 to be married [G5683] G3739 to whom G2309 she will [G5719] G3440 ; only G1722 in G2962 the Lord.

40 G1161 But G2076 she is [G5748] G3107 happier G1437 if G3306 she G3779 so G3306 abide [G5661] G2596 , after G1699 my G1106 judgment G1161 : and G1380 I think [G5719] G2504 also G2192 that I have [G5721] G4151 the Spirit G2316 of God.
