H8605 A Prayer H4872 of Moses H376 the man H430 of God H136 . Lord H4583 , thou hast been our dwelling place H1755 in all H1755 generations.
H2022 Before the mountains H3205 were brought forth [H8795]   H2342 , or ever thou hadst formed [H8787]   H776 the earth H8398 and the world H5769 , even from everlasting H5704 to H5769 everlasting H410 , thou art God.
H7725 Thou turnest [H8686]   H582 man H1793 to destruction H559 ; and sayest [H8799]   H7725 , Return [H8798]   H1121 , ye children H120 of men.
H505 For a thousand H8141 years H5869 in thy sight H3117 are but as H865 yesterday H5674 when it is past [H8799]   H821 , and as a watch H3915 in the night.
H2229 Thou carriest them away as with a flood [H8804]   H8142 ; they are as a sleep H1242 : in the morning H2682 they are like grass H2498 which groweth up [H8799]  .
H1242 In the morning H6692 it flourisheth [H8686]   H2498 , and groweth up [H8804]   H6153 ; in the evening H4135 it is cut down [H8787]   H3001 , and withereth [H8804]  .
H3615 For we are consumed [H8804]   H639 by thine anger H2534 , and by thy wrath H926 are we troubled [H8738]  .
H7896 Thou hast set [H8804]   H5771 our iniquities H5956 before thee, our secret [H8803]   H3974 sins in the light H6440 of thy countenance.
H3117 For all our days H6437 are passed away [H8804]   H5678 in thy wrath H3615 : we spend [H8765]   H8141 our years H1899 as a tale that is told .
H3117 The days H8141 of our years H7657 are threescore H8141 years H7657 and ten H1369 ; and if by reason of strength H8084 they be fourscore H8141 years H7296 , yet is their strength H5999 labour H205 and sorrow H2440 ; for it is soon H1468 cut off [H8804]   H5774 , and we fly away [H8799]  .
H3045 Who knoweth [H8802]   H5797 the power H639 of thine anger H3374 ? even according to thy fear H5678 , so is thy wrath.
H3045 So teach [H8685]   H4487 us to number [H8800]   H3117 our days H935 , that we may apply [H8686]   H3824 our hearts H2451 unto wisdom.
H7725 Return [H8798]   H3068 , O LORD H5162 , how long? and let it repent [H8734]   H5650 thee concerning thy servants.
H7646 O satisfy [H8761]   H1242 us early H2617 with thy mercy H7442 ; that we may rejoice [H8762]   H8055 and be glad [H8799]   H3117 all our days.
H8055 Make us glad [H8761]   H3117 according to the days H6031 wherein thou hast afflicted [H8765]   H8141 us, and the years H7200 wherein we have seen [H8804]   H7451 evil.
H6467 Let thy work H7200 appear [H8735]   H5650 unto thy servants H1926 , and thy glory H1121 unto their children.
H5278 And let the beauty H3068 of the LORD H430 our God H3559 be upon us: and establish [H8786]   H4639 thou the work H3027 of our hands H4639 upon us; yea, the work H3027 of our hands H3559 establish [H8786]   thou it.
ERV(i) 1 A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. 3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. 4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. 5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. 7 For we are consumed in thine anger, and in thy wrath are we troubled. 8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. 9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we bring our years to an end as a tale [that is told]. 10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years; yet is their pride but labour and sorrow; for it is soon gone, and we fly away. 11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger, and thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee? 12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us an heart of wisdom. 13 Return, O LORD; how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. 14 O satisfy us in the morning with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. 16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory upon their children. 17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
