1 Kings 8:17-19

  17 H3824 And it was in the heart H1732 of David H1 my father H1129 to build [H8800]   H1004 an house H8034 for the name H3068 of the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel.
  18 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H1732 unto David H1 my father H3282 , Whereas H834   H3824 it was in thine heart H1129 to build [H8800]   H1004 an house H8034 unto my name H2895 , thou didst well [H8689]   H3824 that it was in thine heart.
  19 H7535 Nevertheless H1129 thou shalt not build [H8799]   H1004 the house H1121 ; but thy son H3318 that shall come forth out [H8802]   H2504 of thy loins H1129 , he shall build [H8799]   H1004 the house H8034 unto my name.
ERV(i) 17 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. 18 But the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart: 19 nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
