Ruth 4:14-17 ותאמרנה said הנשׁים And the women אל unto נעמי Naomi, ברוך Blessed יהוה the LORD, אשׁר which לא hath not השׁבית left לך גאל without a kinsman, היום thee this day ויקרא may be famous שׁמו that his name בישׂראל׃ in Israel.

15 H1961 והיה And he shall be H7725 לך למשׁיב unto thee a restorer H5315 נפשׁ of life, H3557 ולכלכל and a nourisher H853 את H7872 שׂיבתך of thine old age: H3588 כי for H3618 כלתך thy daughter-in-law, H834 אשׁר which H157 אהבתך loveth H3205 ילדתו hath born H834 אשׁר thee, which H1931 היא H2896 טובה is better H7651 לך משׁבעה to thee than seven H1121 בנים׃ sons,

16 H3947 ותקח took H5281 נעמי And Naomi H853 את H3206 הילד the child, H7896 ותשׁתהו and laid H2436 בחיקה it in her bosom, H1961 ותהי and became H539 לו לאמנת׃ nurse

17 H7121 ותקראנה gave H7934 לו השׁכנות And the women her neighbors H8034 שׁם it a name, H559 לאמר saying, H3205 ילד born H1121 בן There is a son H5281 לנעמי to Naomi; H7121 ותקראנה and they called H8034 שׁמו his name H5744 עובד Obed: H1931 הוא he H1 אבי the father H3448 ישׁי of Jesse, H1 אבי the father H1732 דוד׃ of David.
