3 H834 אשׁר Which H8085 שׁמענו we have heard H3045 ונדעם and known, H1 ואבותינו and our fathers H5608 ספרו׃ have told

4 H3808 לא We will not H3582 נכחד hide H1121 מבניהם from their children, H1755 לדור to the generation H314 אחרון to come H5608 מספרים showing H8416 תהלות the praises H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H5807 ועזוזו and his strength, H6381 ונפלאותיו and his wonderful works H834 אשׁר that H6213 עשׂה׃ he hath done.

5 H6965 ויקם For he established H5715 עדות a testimony H3290 ביעקב in Jacob, H8451 ותורה a law H7760 שׂם and appointed H3478 בישׂראל in Israel, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה he commanded H853 את H1 אבותינו our fathers, H3045 להודיעם that they should make them known H1121 לבניהם׃ to their children:

6 H4616 למען That H3045 ידעו might know H1755 דור the generation H314 אחרון to come H1121 בנים the children H3205 יולדו should be born; H6965 יקמו should arise H5608 ויספרו and declare H1121 לבניהם׃ to their children:

7 H7760 וישׂימו That they might set H430 באלהים in God, H3689 כסלם their hope H3808 ולא and not H7911 ישׁכחו forget H4611 מעללי the works H410 אל of God, H4687 ומצותיו his commandments: H5341 ינצרו׃ but keep

8 H3808 ולא And might not H1961 יהיו be H1 כאבותם as their fathers, H1755 דור generation; H5637 סורר a stubborn H4784 ומרה and rebellious H1755 דור a generation H3808 לא was not H3559 הכין set not their heart aright, H3820 לבו H3808 ולא H539 נאמנה steadfast H854 את with H410 אל God. H7307 רוחו׃ and whose spirit

9 H1121 בני The children H669 אפרים of Ephraim, H5401 נושׁקי armed, H7411 רומי carrying H7198 קשׁת bows, H2015 הפכו turned back H3117 ביום in the day H7128 קרב׃ of battle.
