Leviticus 21:1-6 ויאמר said יהוה And the LORD אל unto משׁה Moses, אמר Speak אל unto הכהנים the priests בני the sons אהרן of Aaron, ואמרת and say אלהם unto לנפשׁ for the dead לא them, There shall none יטמא be defiled בעמיו׃ among his people:

2 H3588 כי H518 אם H7607 לשׁארו for his kin, H7138 הקרב that is near H413 אליו unto H517 לאמו him, for his mother, H1 ולאביו and for his father, H1121 ולבנו and for his son, H1323 ולבתו and for his daughter, H251 ולאחיו׃ and for his brother,

3 H269 ולאחתו And for his sister H1330 הבתולה a virgin, H7138 הקרובה that is nigh H413 אליו unto H834 אשׁר him, which H3808 לא no H1961 היתה hath had H376 לאישׁ husband; H2930 לה יטמא׃ for her may he be defiled.

4 H3808 לא he shall not H2930 יטמא defile himself, H1167 בעל a chief man H5971 בעמיו among his people, H2490 להחלו׃ to profane himself.

5 H3808 לא They shall not H7139 יקרחה make H7144 קרחה baldness H7218 בראשׁם upon their head, H6285 ופאת the corner H2206 זקנם of their beard, H3808 לא neither H1548 יגלחו shall they shave off H1320 ובבשׂרם in their flesh. H3808 לא nor H8295 ישׂרטו make H8296 שׂרטת׃ any cuttings

6 H6918 קדשׁים holy H1961 יהיו They shall be H430 לאלהיהם unto their God, H3808 ולא and not H2490 יחללו profane H8034 שׁם the name H430 אלהיהם of their God: H3588 כי for H853 את H801 אשׁי H3068 יהוה H3899 לחם the bread H430 אלהיהם of their God, H1992 הם they H7126 מקריבם do offer: H1961 והיו therefore they shall be H6944 קדשׁ׃ holy.
