Judges 6:1-6 ויעשׂו did בני And the children ישׂראל of Israel הרע evil בעיני in the sight יהוה of the LORD: ויתנם delivered יהוה and the LORD ביד them into the hand מדין of Midian שׁבע seven שׁנים׃ years.

1 H6213 ויעשׂו did H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H7451 הרע evil H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD: H5414 ויתנם delivered H3068 יהוה and the LORD H3027 ביד them into the hand H4080 מדין of Midian H7651 שׁבע seven H8141 שׁנים׃ years.

2 H5810 ותעז prevailed H3027 יד And the hand H4080 מדין of Midian H5921 על against H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H6440 מפני because H4080 מדין of the Midianites H6213 עשׂו made H1121 להם בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H853 את H4492 המנהרות them the dens H834 אשׁר which H2022 בהרים in the mountains, H853 ואת H4631 המערות and caves, H853 ואת H4679 המצדות׃ and strongholds.

3 H1961 והיה And it was, H518 אם when H2232 זרע had sown, H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5927 ועלה came up, H4080 מדין that the Midianites H6002 ועמלק H1121 ובני and the children H6924 קדם of the east, H5927 ועלו even they came up H5921 עליו׃ against

4 H2583 ויחנו And they encamped H5921 עליהם against H7843 וישׁחיתו them, and destroyed H853 את H2981 יבול the increase H776 הארץ of the earth, H5704 עד till H935 בואך thou come H5804 עזה unto Gaza, H3808 ולא no H7604 ישׁאירו and left H4241 מחיה sustenance H3478 בישׂראל for Israel, H7716 ושׂה neither sheep, H7794 ושׁור nor ox, H2543 וחמור׃ nor ass.

5 H3588 כי For H1992 הם they H4735 ומקניהם with their cattle H5927 יעלו came up H168 ואהליהם and their tents, H935 יבאו and they came H1767 כדי H697 ארבה grasshoppers H7230 לרב for multitude; H1581 ולהם ולגמליהם and their camels H369 אין were without H4557 מספר number: H935 ויבאו and they entered H776 בארץ into the land H7843 לשׁחתה׃ to destroy

6 H1809 וידל impoverished H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H3966 מאד was greatly H6440 מפני because H4080 מדין of the Midianites; H2199 ויזעקו cried H1121 בני and the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
