Joshua 9:24 ויענו And they answered את יהושׁע Joshua, ויאמרו and said, כי Because הגד it was certainly told הגד it was certainly told לעבדיך thy servants, את אשׁר how that צוה commanded יהוה the LORD אלהיך thy God את משׁה Moses עבדו his servant לתת to give לכם את כל you all הארץ the land, ולהשׁמיד and to destroy את כל all ישׁבי the inhabitants הארץ of the land מפניכם from before ונירא afraid מאד you, therefore we were sore לנפשׁתינו of our lives מפניכם because of ונעשׂה you, and have done את הדבר thing. הזה׃ this
