55 H3588 כי Because H7703 שׁדד hath spoiled H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את H894 בבל Babylon, H6 ואבד and destroyed H4480 ממנה out of H6963 קול voice; H1419 גדול her the great H1993 והמו do roar H1530 גליהם when her waves H4325 כמים waters, H7227 רבים like great H5414 נתן is uttered: H7588 שׁאון a noise H6963 קולם׃ of their voice

56 H3588 כי Because H935 בא is come H5921 עליה upon H5921 על her, upon H894 בבל Babylon, H7703 שׁודד the spoiler H3920 ונלכדו are taken, H1368 גבוריה and her mighty men H2865 חתתה is broken: H7198 קשׁתותם every one of their bows H3588 כי for H410 אל God H1578 גמלות of recompenses H3068 יהוה the LORD H7999 שׁלם shall surely requite.
