Jeremiah 40:7 וישׁמעו heard כל Now when all שׂרי the captains החילים of the forces אשׁר which בשׂדה in the fields, המה they ואנשׁיהם and their men, כי that הפקיד governor מלך the king בבל of Babylon את גדליהו had made Gedaliah בן the son אחיקם of Ahikam בארץ in the land, וכי and הפקיד had committed אתו unto אנשׁים him men, ונשׁים and women, וטף and children, ומדלת and of the poor הארץ of the land, מאשׁר of them that לא were not הגלו carried away captive בבלה׃ to Babylon;
