Jeremiah 35:6-10

  6 H559 ויאמרו But they said, H3808 לא no H8354 נשׁתה We will drink H3196 יין wine: H3588 כי for H3122 יונדב Jonadab H1121 בן the son H7394 רכב of Rechab H1 אבינו our father H6680 צוה commanded H5921 עלינו commanded H559 לאמר us, saying, H3808 לא no H8354 תשׁתו Ye shall drink H3196 יין wine, H859 אתם ye, H1121 ובניכם nor your sons H5704 עד forever: H5769 עולם׃ forever:

  7 H1004 ובית house, H3808 לא Neither H1129 תבנו shall ye build H2233 וזרע seed, H3808 לא nor H2232 תזרעו sow H3754 וכרם vineyard, H3808 לא nor H5193 תטעו plant H3808 ולא nor H1961 יהיה have H3588 לכם כי but H168 באהלים in tents; H3427 תשׁבו ye shall dwell H3605 כל all H3117 ימיכם your days H4616 למען that H2421 תחיו ye may live H3117 ימים days H7227 רבים many H5921 על in H6440 פני in H127 האדמה the land H834 אשׁר where H859 אתם ye H1481 גרים strangers. H8033 שׁם׃ where

  8 H8085 ונשׁמע Thus have we obeyed H6963 בקול the voice H3082 יהונדב of Jonadab H1121 בן the son H7394 רכב of Rechab H1 אבינו our father H3605 לכל in all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צונו he hath charged H1115 לבלתי no H8354 שׁתות us, to drink H3196 יין wine H3605 כל all H3117 ימינו our days, H587 אנחנו we, H802 נשׁינו our wives, H1121 בנינו our sons, H1323 ובנתינו׃ nor our daughters;

  9 H1115 ולבלתי Nor H1129 בנות to build H1004 בתים houses H3427 לשׁבתנו for us to dwell H3754 וכרם we vineyard, H7704 ושׂדה nor field, H2233 וזרע nor seed: H3808 לא in: neither H1961 יהיה׃ have

  10 H3427 ונשׁב But we have dwelt H168 באהלים in tents, H8085 ונשׁמע and have obeyed, H6213 ונעשׂ and done H3605 ככל according to all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צונו commanded H3122 יונדב Jonadab H1 אבינו׃ our father
