Jeremiah 23:14-29 ובנבאי also in the prophets ירושׁלם of Jerusalem ראיתי I have seen שׁערורה a horrible thing: נאוף they commit adultery, והלך and walk בשׁקר in lies: וחזקו they strengthen ידי also the hands מרעים of evildoers, לבלתי that none שׁבו doth return אישׁ that none מרעתו from his wickedness: היו they are לי כלם all כסדם of them unto me as Sodom, וישׁביה and the inhabitants כעמרה׃ thereof as Gomorrah.

14 H5030 ובנבאי also in the prophets H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem H7200 ראיתי I have seen H8186 שׁערורה a horrible thing: H5003 נאוף they commit adultery, H1980 והלך and walk H8267 בשׁקר in lies: H2388 וחזקו they strengthen H3027 ידי also the hands H7489 מרעים of evildoers, H1115 לבלתי that none H7725 שׁבו doth return H376 אישׁ that none H7451 מרעתו from his wickedness: H1961 היו they are H3605 לי כלם all H5467 כסדם of them unto me as Sodom, H3427 וישׁביה and the inhabitants H6017 כעמרה׃ thereof as Gomorrah.

15 H3651 לכן Therefore H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts H5921 על concerning H5030 הנבאים the prophets; H2005 הנני H398 מאכיל I will feed H853 אותם H3939 לענה them with wormwood, H8248 והשׁקתים and make them drink H4325 מי the water H7219 ראשׁ of gall: H3588 כי for H853 מאת H5030 נביאי the prophets H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem H3318 יצאה gone forth H2613 חנפה is profaneness H3605 לכל into all H776 הארץ׃ the land.

16 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H408 אל not H8085 תשׁמעו Hearken H5921 על unto H1697 דברי the words H5030 הנבאים of the prophets H5012 הנבאים that prophesy H1891 לכם מהבלים H1992 המה they H853 אתכם H2377 חזון a vision H3820 לבם of their own heart, H1696 ידברו speak H3808 לא not H6310 מפי out of the mouth H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

17 H559 אמרים and they say H559 אמור H5006 למנאצי unto them that despise H1696 דבר hath said, H3068 יהוה me, The LORD H7965 שׁלום peace; H1961 יהיה Ye shall have H3605 לכם וכל unto every one H1980 הלך that walketh H8307 בשׁררות after the imagination H3820 לבו of his own heart, H559 אמרו H3808 לא No H935 תבוא shall come H5921 עליכם upon H7451 רעה׃ evil

18 H3588 כי For H4310 מי who H5975 עמד hath stood H5475 בסוד in the counsel H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H7200 וירא and hath perceived H8085 וישׁמע and heard H853 את H1697 דברו his word? H4310 מי who H7181 הקשׁיב hath marked H1697 דברי his word, H8085 וישׁמע׃ and heard

19 H2009 הנה Behold, H5591 סערת a whirlwind H3068 יהוה of the LORD H2534 חמה in fury, H3318 יצאה is gone forth H5591 וסער whirlwind: H2342 מתחולל even a grievous H5921 על upon H7218 ראשׁ the head H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked. H2342 יחול׃ it shall fall grievously

20 H3808 לא shall not H7725 ישׁוב return, H639 אף The anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5704 עד until H6213 עשׂתו he have executed, H5704 ועד and till H6965 הקימו he have performed H4209 מזמות the thoughts H3820 לבו of his heart: H319 באחרית in the latter H3117 הימים days H995 תתבוננו ye shall consider H998 בה בינה׃ it perfectly.

21 H3808 לא I have not H7971 שׁלחתי sent H853 את H5030 הנבאים these prophets, H1992 והם yet they H7323 רצו ran: H3808 לא I have not H1696 דברתי spoken H413 אליהם to H1992 והם them, yet they H5012 נבאו׃ prophesied.

22 H518 ואם But if H5975 עמדו they had stood H5475 בסודי in my counsel, H8085 וישׁמעו to hear H1697 דברי my words, H853 את H5971 עמי and had caused my people H7725 וישׁבום then they should have turned H1870 מדרכם way, H7451 הרע them from their evil H7455 ומרע and from the evil H4611 מעלליהם׃ of their doings.

23 H430 האלהי a God H7138 מקרב at hand, H589 אני I H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H3808 ולא and not H430 אלהי a God H7350 מרחק׃ afar off?

24 H518 אם Can H5641 יסתר hide himself H376 אישׁ any H4565 במסתרים in secret places H589 ואני that I H3808 לא shall not H7200 אראנו see H5002 נאם him? saith H3068 יהוה the LORD. H3808 הלוא Do not H853 את H8064 השׁמים heaven H853 ואת H776 הארץ and earth? H589 אני I H4390 מלא fill H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

25 H8085 שׁמעתי I have heard H853 את H834 אשׁר what H559 אמרו said, H5030 הנבאים the prophets H5012 הנבאים that prophesy H8034 בשׁמי in my name, H8267 שׁקר lies H559 לאמר saying, H2492 חלמתי I have dreamed, H2492 חלמתי׃ I have dreamed.

26 H5704 עד H4970 מתי H3426 הישׁ shall be H3820 בלב in the heart H5030 הנבאים of the prophets H5012 נבאי that prophesy H8267 השׁקר lies? H5030 ונביאי yea, prophets H8649 תרמת of the deceit H3820 לבם׃ of their own heart;

27 H2803 החשׁבים Which think H7911 להשׁכיח to forget H853 את H5971 עמי to cause my people H8034 שׁמי my name H2472 בחלומתם by their dreams H834 אשׁר which H5608 יספרו they tell H376 אישׁ every man H7453 לרעהו to his neighbor, H834 כאשׁר as H7911 שׁכחו have forgotten H1 אבותם their fathers H853 את H8034 שׁמי my name H1168 בבעל׃ for Baal.

28 H5030 הנביא The prophet H834 אשׁר that H854 אתו that H2472 חלום hath a dream, H5608 יספר let him tell H2472 חלום a dream; H834 ואשׁר and he that H1697 דברי hath my word, H854 אתו and he that H1696 ידבר let him speak H1697 דברי my word H571 אמת faithfully. H4100 מה What H8401 לתבן the chaff H854 את to H1250 הבר the wheat? H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

29 H3808 הלוא not H3541 כה like H1697 דברי my word H784 כאשׁ as a fire? H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H6360 וכפטישׁ and like a hammer H6327 יפצץ breaketh H5553 סלע׃ the rock
