Isaiah 22 משׂא The burden גיא of the valley חזיון of vision. מה What לך אפוא aileth thee now, כי that עלית gone up כלך thou art wholly לגגות׃ to the housetops?

2 H8663 תשׁאות of stirs, H4395 מלאה H5892 עיר city, H1993 הומיה a tumultuous H7151 קריה city: H5947 עליזה a joyous H2491 חלליך thy slain H3808 לא not H2491 חללי slain H2719 חרב with the sword, H3808 ולא nor H4191 מתי dead H4421 מלחמה׃ in battle.

3 H3605 כל All H7101 קציניך thy rulers H5074 נדדו are fled H3162 יחד together, H7198 מקשׁת by the archers: H631 אסרו they are bound H3605 כל all H4672 נמצאיך that are found H631 אסרו in thee are bound H3162 יחדו together, H7350 מרחוק from far. H1272 ברחו׃ have fled

4 H5921 על me, because H3651 כן H559 אמרתי said H8159 שׁעו I, Look away H4480 מני from H4843 אמרר bitterly, H1065 בבכי me; I will weep H408 אל not H213 תאיצו labor H5162 לנחמני to comfort H5921 על H7701 שׁד of the spoiling H1323 בת of the daughter H5971 עמי׃ of my people.

5 H3588 כי For H3117 יום a day H4103 מהומה of trouble, H4001 ומבוסה and of treading down, H3998 ומבוכה and of perplexity H136 לאדני by the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD H6635 צבאות of hosts H1516 בגיא in the valley H2384 חזיון of vision, H6979 מקרקר breaking down H7023 קר the walls, H7771 ושׁוע and of crying H413 אל to H2022 ההר׃ the mountains.

6 H5867 ועילם And Elam H5375 נשׂא bore H827 אשׁפה the quiver H7393 ברכב with chariots H120 אדם of men H6571 פרשׁים horsemen, H7024 וקיר and Kir H6168 ערה uncovered H4043 מגן׃ the shield.

7 H1961 ויהי And it shall come to pass, H4005 מבחר H6010 עמקיך valleys H4390 מלאו shall be full H7393 רכב of chariots, H6571 והפרשׁים and the horsemen H7896 שׁת shall set themselves in array H7896 שׁתו shall set themselves in array H8179 השׁערה׃ at the gate.

11 H4724 ומקוה also a ditch H6213 עשׂיתם Ye made H996 בין between H2346 החמתים the two walls H4325 למי for the water H1295 הברכה pool: H3465 הישׁנה of the old H3808 ולא but ye have not H5027 הבטתם looked H413 אל unto H6213 עשׂיה the maker H3335 ויצרה unto him that fashioned H7350 מרחוק it long ago. H3808 לא thereof, neither H7200 ראיתם׃ had respect

12 H7121 ויקרא call H136 אדני did the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD H6635 צבאות of hosts H3117 ביום day H1931 ההוא And in that H1065 לבכי to weeping, H4553 ולמספד and to mourning, H7144 ולקרחה and to baldness, H2296 ולחגר and to girding H8242 שׂק׃ with sackcloth:

13 H2009 והנה And behold H8342 שׂשׂון joy H8057 ושׂמחה and gladness, H2026 הרג slaying H1241 בקר oxen, H7819 ושׁחט and killing H6629 צאן sheep, H398 אכל eating H1320 בשׂר flesh, H8354 ושׁתות and drinking H3196 יין wine: H398 אכול let us eat H8354 ושׁתו and drink; H3588 כי for H4279 מחר tomorrow H4191 נמות׃ we shall die.

14 H1540 ונגלה And it was revealed H241 באזני in mine ears H3069 יהוה GOD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H518 אם Surely H3722 יכפר shall not be purged H5771 העון iniquity H2088 הזה this H5704 לכם עד from you till H4191 תמתון ye die, H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3068 יהוה by the LORD H6635 צבאות׃ of hosts.

15 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H1980 לך Go, H935 בא get H413 אל thee unto H5532 הסכן treasurer, H2088 הזה this H5921 על unto H7644 שׁבנא Shebna, H834 אשׁר which H5921 על over H1004 הבית׃ the house,

16 H4100 מה What H6311 לך פה hast thou here? H4310 ומי and whom H6311 לך פה hast thou here, H3588 כי that H2672 חצבת thou hast hewed thee out H6311 לך פה here, H6913 קבר a sepulcher H2672 חצבי he that heweth him out H4791 מרום on high, H6913 קברו a sepulcher H2710 חקקי that graveth H5553 בסלע for himself in a rock? H4908 משׁכן׃ a habitation

17 H2009 הנה Behold, H3068 יהוה the LORD H2904 מטלטלך will carry thee away H2925 טלטלה captivity, H1397 גבר with a mighty H5844 ועטך and will surely cover H5844 עטה׃ and will surely cover

18 H6801 צנוף H6801 יצנפך H6802 צנפה and toss H1754 כדור thee a ball H413 אל into H776 ארץ country: H7342 רחבת a large H3027 ידים a large H8033 שׁמה there H4191 תמות shalt thou die, H8033 ושׁמה and there H4818 מרכבות the chariots H3519 כבודך of thy glory H7036 קלון the shame H1004 בית house. H113 אדניך׃ of thy lord's

19 H1920 והדפתיך And I will drive H4673 ממצבך thee from thy station, H4612 וממעמדך and from thy state H2040 יהרסך׃ shall he pull thee down.

20 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא in that H7121 וקראתי that I will call H5650 לעבדי my servant H471 לאליקים Eliakim H1121 בן the son H2518 חלקיהו׃ of Hilkiah:

21 H3847 והלבשׁתיו And I will clothe H3801 כתנתך him with thy robe, H73 ואבנטך him with thy girdle, H2388 אחזקנו and strengthen H4475 וממשׁלתך thy government H5414 אתן and I will commit H3027 בידו into his hand: H1961 והיה and he shall be H1 לאב a father H3427 ליושׁב to the inhabitants H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem, H1004 ולבית and to the house H3063 יהודה׃ of Judah.

22 H5414 ונתתי will I lay H4668 מפתח And the key H1004 בית of the house H1732 דוד of David H5921 על upon H7926 שׁכמו his shoulder; H6605 ופתח so he shall open, H369 ואין and none H5462 סגר shall shut; H5462 וסגר and he shall shut, H369 ואין and none H6605 פתח׃ shall open.

23 H8628 ותקעתיו And I will fasten H3489 יתד him a nail H4725 במקום place; H539 נאמן in a sure H1961 והיה and he shall be H3678 לכסא throne H3519 כבוד for a glorious H1004 לבית house. H1 אביו׃ to his father's

24 H8518 ותלו And they shall hang H5921 עליו upon H3605 כל him all H3519 כבוד the glory H1004 בית house, H1 אביו of his father's H6631 הצאצאים the offspring H6849 והצפעות and the issue, H3605 כל all H3627 כלי vessels H6996 הקטן of small quantity, H3627 מכלי from the vessels H101 האגנות of cups, H5704 ועד even to H3605 כל all H3627 כלי the vessels H5035 הנבלים׃ of flagons.

25 H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא In that H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H4185 תמושׁ be removed, H3489 היתד shall the nail H8628 התקועה that is fastened H4725 במקום place H539 נאמן in the sure H1438 ונגדעה and be cut down, H5307 ונפלה and fall; H3772 ונכרת it shall be cut off: H4853 המשׂא and the burden H834 אשׁר that H5921 עליה upon H3588 כי for H3068 יהוה the LORD H1696 דבר׃ hath spoken
