Habakkuk 2:6-12 הלוא Shall not אלה these כלם all עליו against משׁל a parable ישׂאו take up ומליצה him, and a taunting חידות proverb לו ויאמר against him, and say, הוי Woe המרבה to him that increaseth לא not לו עד מתי ומכביד and to him that ladeth עליו and to him that ladeth עבטיט׃ himself with thick clay!

6 H3808 הלוא Shall not H428 אלה these H3605 כלם all H5921 עליו against H4912 משׁל a parable H5375 ישׂאו take up H4426 ומליצה him, and a taunting H2420 חידות proverb H559 לו ויאמר against him, and say, H1945 הוי Woe H7235 המרבה to him that increaseth H3808 לא not H5704 לו עד H4970 מתי H3513 ומכביד and to him that ladeth H5921 עליו and to him that ladeth H5671 עבטיט׃ himself with thick clay!

7 H3808 הלוא Shall they not H6621 פתע suddenly H6965 יקומו rise up H5391 נשׁכיך that shall bite H6974 ויקצו H2111 מזעזעיך that shall vex H1961 והיית thee, and thou shalt be H4933 למשׁסות׃ for booties

8 H3588 כי Because H859 אתה thou H7997 שׁלות hast spoiled H1471 גוים nations, H7227 רבים many H7997 ישׁלוך shall spoil H3605 כל all H3499 יתר the remnant H5971 עמים of the people H1818 מדמי blood, H120 אדם thee; because of men's H2555 וחמס and the violence H776 ארץ of the land, H7151 קריה of the city, H3605 וכל and of all H3427 ישׁבי׃ that dwell

9 H1945 הוי Woe H1214 בצע to him that coveteth H1215 בצע covetousness H7451 רע an evil H1004 לביתו to his house, H7760 לשׂום that he may set H4791 במרום on high, H7064 קנו his nest H5337 להנצל that he may be delivered H3709 מכף from the power H7451 רע׃ of evil!

10 H3289 יעצת Thou hast consulted H1322 בשׁת shame H1004 לביתך to thy house H7096 קצות by cutting off H5971 עמים people, H7227 רבים many H2398 וחוטא and hast sinned H5315 נפשׁך׃ thy soul.

11 H3588 כי For H68 אבן the stone H7023 מקיר of the wall, H2199 תזעק shall cry out H3714 וכפיס and the beam H6086 מעץ out of the timber H6030 יעננה׃ shall answer

12 H1945 הוי Woe H1129 בנה to him that buildeth H5892 עיר a town H1818 בדמים with blood, H3559 וכונן and establisheth H7151 קריה a city H5766 בעולה׃ by iniquity!
