8 H559 ויאמר spoke H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses H413 ואל and unto H175 אהרן Aaron, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

9 H3588 כי When H1696 ידבר shall speak H413 אלכם unto H6547 פרעה Pharaoh H559 לאמר you, saying, H5414 תנו Show H4159 לכם מופת a miracle H559 ואמרת for you: then thou shalt say H413 אל unto H175 אהרן Aaron, H3947 קח Take H853 את H4294 מטך thy rod, H7993 והשׁלך and cast H6440 לפני before H6547 פרעה Pharaoh, H1961 יהי it shall become H8577 לתנין׃ a serpent.

10 H935 ויבא went in H4872 משׁה And Moses H175 ואהרן and Aaron H413 אל unto H6547 פרעה Pharaoh, H6213 ויעשׂו and they did H3651 כן so H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוה had commanded: H3068 יהוה the LORD H7993 וישׁלך cast down H175 אהרן and Aaron H853 את H4294 מטהו his rod H6440 לפני before H6547 פרעה Pharaoh, H6440 ולפני and before H5650 עבדיו his servants, H1961 ויהי and it became H8577 לתנין׃ a serpent.

11 H7121 ויקרא called H1571 גם also H6547 פרעה Then Pharaoh H2450 לחכמים the wise men H3784 ולמכשׁפים and the sorcerers: H6213 ויעשׂו did H1571 גם also H1992 הם they H2748 חרטמי now the magicians H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H3858 בלהטיהם with their enchantments. H3651 כן׃ in like manner

12 H7993 וישׁליכו For they cast down H376 אישׁ every man H4294 מטהו his rod, H1961 ויהיו and they became H8577 לתנינם serpents: H1104 ויבלע swallowed up H4294 מטה rod H175 אהרן but Aaron's H853 את H4294 מטתם׃ their rods.

13 H2388 ויחזק And he hardened H3820 לב heart, H6547 פרעה Pharaoh's H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמע that he hearkened H413 אלהם unto H834 כאשׁר them; as H1696 דבר had said. H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD
