Daniel 1:8-10 וישׂם purposed דניאל But Daniel על in לבו his heart אשׁר that לא he would not יתגאל defile himself בפתבג המלך וביין nor with the wine משׁתיו which he drank: ויבקשׁ therefore he requested משׂר of the prince הסריסים of the eunuchs אשׁר that לא he might not יתגאל׃ defile himself.

10 H559 ויאמר said H8269 שׂר And the prince H5631 הסריסים of the eunuchs H1840 לדניאל unto Daniel, H3373 ירא H589 אני I H853 את H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king, H834 אשׁר who H4487 מנה hath appointed H853 את H3978 מאכלכם your meat H853 ואת H4960 משׁתיכם and your drink: H834 אשׁר for H4100 למה why H7200 יראה should he see H853 את H6440 פניכם your faces H2196 זעפים worse liking H4480 מן than H3206 הילדים the children H834 אשׁר which H1524 כגילכם of your sort? H2325 וחיבתם then shall ye make endanger H853 את H7218 ראשׁי my head H4428 למלך׃ to the king.
