Amos 5:16-20 לכן Therefore כה thus; אמר saith יהוה the LORD, אלהי the God צבאות of hosts, אדני the Lord, בכל in all רחבות streets; מספד Wailing ובכל in all חוצות the highways, יאמרו and they shall say הו Alas! הו alas! וקראו and they shall call אכר the husbandman אל to אבל mourning, ומספד wailing. אל to יודעי and such as are skillful נהי׃ of lamentation

H1930 הו alas! H7121 וקראו and they shall call H406 אכר the husbandman H413 אל to H60 אבל mourning, H4553 ומספד wailing. H413 אל to H3045 יודעי and such as are skillful H5092 נהי׃ of lamentation

17 H3605 ובכל And in all H3754 כרמים vineyards H4553 מספד wailing: H3588 כי for H5674 אעבר I will pass H7130 בקרבך through H559 אמר thee, saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

18 H1945 הוי Woe H183 המתאוים unto you that desire H853 את H3117 יום the day H3068 יהוה of the LORD! H4100 למה to what end H2088 זה it H3117 לכם יום for you? the day H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1931 הוא H2822 חשׁך darkness, H3808 ולא and not H216 אור׃ light.

19 H834 כאשׁר As if H5127 ינוס did flee H376 אישׁ a man H6440 מפני from H738 הארי a lion, H6293 ופגעו met H1677 הדב and a bear H935 ובא him; or went H1004 הבית into the house, H5564 וסמך and leaned H3027 ידו his hand H5921 על on H7023 הקיר the wall, H5391 ונשׁכו bit H5175 הנחשׁ׃ and a serpent

20 H3808 הלא not H2822 חשׁך darkness, H3117 יום the day H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3808 ולא and not H216 אור light? H651 ואפל even very dark, H3808 ולא and no H5051 נגה׃ brightness
