2 Samuel 19:4-10

  4 H4428 והמלך But the king H3813 לאט covered H853 את   H6440 פניו his face, H2199 ויזעק cried H4428 המלך and the king H6963 קול voice, H1419 גדול with a loud H1121 בני O my son H53 אבשׁלום Absalom, H53 אבשׁלום O Absalom, H1121 בני my son, H1121 בני׃ my son!

  5 H935 ויבא came H3097 יואב And Joab H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H1004 הבית into the house H559 ויאמר and said, H3001 הבשׁת Thou hast shamed H3117 היום this day H853 את   H6440 פני the faces H3605 כל of all H5650 עבדיך thy servants, H4422 הממלטים have saved H853 את   H5315 נפשׁך thy life, H3117 היום which this day H853 ואת   H5315 נפשׁ and the lives H1121 בניך of thy sons H1323 ובנתיך and of thy daughters, H5315 ונפשׁ and the lives H802 נשׁיך of thy wives, H5315 ונפשׁ and the lives H6370 פלגשׁיך׃ of thy concubines;

  6 H157 לאהבה In that thou lovest H853 את   H8130 שׂנאיך thine enemies, H8130 ולשׂנא and hatest H853 את   H157 אהביך thy friends. H3588 כי For H5046 הגדת thou hast declared H3117 היום this day, H3588 כי that H369 אין thou regardest neither H8269 לך שׂרים princes H5650 ועבדים nor servants: H3588 כי for H3045 ידעתי I perceive, H3117 היום this day H3588 כי that H3863 לא if H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H2416 חי had lived, H3605 וכלנו and all H3117 היום this day, H4191 מתים we had died H3588 כי   H227 אז then H3477 ישׁר it had pleased thee well. H5869 בעיניך׃ it had pleased thee well.

  7 H6258 ועתה Now H6965 קום therefore arise, H3318 צא go forth, H1696 ודבר and speak H5921 על comfortably H3820 לב comfortably H5650 עבדיך unto thy servants: H3588 כי for H3068 ביהוה by the LORD, H7650 נשׁבעתי I swear H3588 כי if H369 אינך thou go not forth, H3318 יוצא thou go not forth, H518 אם there will not H3885 ילין tarry H376 אישׁ one H854 אתך with H3915 הלילה thee this night: H7451 ורעה the evil H2063 לך זאת and that H3605 מכל unto thee than all H7451 הרעה   H834 אשׁר that H935 באה befell H5921 עליך befell H5271 מנעריך thee from thy youth H5704 עד until H6258 עתה׃ now.

  8 H6965 ויקם arose, H4428 המלך Then the king H3427 וישׁב and sat H8179 בשׁער in the gate. H3605 ולכל unto all H5971 העם the people, H5046 הגידו And they told H559 לאמר saying, H2009 הנה Behold, H4428 המלך the king H3427 יושׁב doth sit H8179 בשׁער in the gate. H935 ויבא came H3605 כל And all H5971 העם the people H6440 לפני before H4428 המלך the king: H3478 וישׂראל for Israel H5127 נס had fled H376 אישׁ every man H168 לאהליו׃ to his tent.

  9 H1961 ויהי were H3605 כל And all H5971 העם the people H1777 נדון at strife H3605 בכל throughout all H7626 שׁבטי the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H559 לאמר saying, H4428 המלך The king H5337 הצילנו saved H3709 מכף us out of the hand H341 איבינו of our enemies, H1931 והוא and he H4422 מלטנו delivered H3709 מכף us out of the hand H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines; H6258 ועתה and now H1272 ברח he is fled H4480 מן us out of the hand H776 הארץ the land H5921 מעל for H53 אבשׁלום׃ Absalom.

  10 H53 ואבשׁלום And Absalom, H834 אשׁר whom H4886 משׁחנו we anointed H5921 עלינו over H4191 מת us, is dead H4421 במלחמה in battle. H6258 ועתה Now H4100 למה therefore why H859 אתם ye H2790 מחרשׁים speak H7725 להשׁיב not a word of bringing H853 את   H4428 המלך׃ the king
