20 H559 ויאמר said H7586 שׁאול And Saul H413 אל unto H8050 שׁמואל Samuel, H834 אשׁר Yea, H8085 שׁמעתי I have obeyed H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H1980 ואלך and have gone H1870 בדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H7971 שׁלחני sent H3068 יהוה the LORD H935 ואביא me, and have brought H853 את H90 אגג Agag H4428 מלך the king H6002 עמלק of Amalek, H853 ואת H6002 עמלק the Amalekites. 21 H3947 ויקח took H5971 העם But the people H7998 מהשׁלל of the spoil, H6629 צאן sheep H1241 ובקר and oxen, H7225 ראשׁית the chief H2764 החרם of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, H2076 לזבח to sacrifice H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H1537 בגלגל׃ in Gilgal.

22 H559 ויאמר said, H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H2656 החפץ delight H3068 ליהוה Hath the LORD H5930 בעלות in burnt offerings H2077 וזבחים and sacrifices, H8085 כשׁמע as in obeying H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD? H2009 הנה Behold, H8085 שׁמע to obey H2077 מזבח than sacrifice, H2896 טוב better H7181 להקשׁיב to hearken H2459 מחלב than the fat H352 אילים׃ of rams.
