1 Chronicles 21:12-17 אם Either שׁלושׁ three שׁנים years' רעב famine; ואם or שׁלשׁה three חדשׁים months נספה to be destroyed מפני before צריך thy foes, וחרב while that the sword אויבך of thine enemies למשׂגת overtaketh ואם or else שׁלשׁת three ימים days חרב the sword יהוה of the LORD, ודבר even the pestilence, בארץ in the land, ומלאך and the angel יהוה of the LORD משׁחית destroying בכל throughout all גבול the coasts ישׂראל of Israel. ועתה Now ראה therefore advise מה thyself what אשׁיב I shall bring again את שׁלחי to him that sent דבר׃ word

H6258 ועתה Now H7200 ראה therefore advise H4100 מה thyself what H7725 אשׁיב I shall bring again H854 את H7971 שׁלחי to him that sent H1697 דבר׃ word

13 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דויד And David H413 אל unto H1410 גד Gad, H6862 צר H3966 לי מאד very H5307 אפלה let me fall H4994 נא now H3027 ביד into the hand H3068 יהוה of the LORD; H3588 כי for H7227 רבים great H7356 רחמיו his mercies: H3966 מאד H3027 וביד into the hand H120 אדם of man. H408 אל but let me not H5307 אפל׃ fall

14 H5414 ויתן sent H3068 יהוה So the LORD H1698 דבר pestilence H3478 בישׂראל upon Israel: H5307 ויפל and there fell H3478 מישׂראל H7657 שׁבעים seventy H505 אלף thousand H376 אישׁ׃ men.

15 H7971 וישׁלח sent H430 האלהים And God H4397 מלאך an angel H3389 לירושׁלם unto Jerusalem H7843 להשׁחיתה to destroy H7843 וכהשׁחית it: and as he was destroying, H7200 ראה beheld, H3068 יהוה the LORD H5162 וינחם and he repented him H5921 על of H7451 הרעה the evil, H559 ויאמר and said H4397 למלאך to the angel H7843 המשׁחית that destroyed, H7227 רב It is enough, H6258 עתה now H7503 הרף stay H3027 ידך thine hand. H4397 ומלאך And the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5975 עמד stood H5973 עם by H1637 גרן the threshingfloor H771 ארנן of Ornan H2983 היבוסי׃ the Jebusite.

16 H5375 וישׂא lifted up H1732 דויד And David H853 את H5869 עיניו his eyes, H7200 וירא and saw H853 את H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5975 עמד stand H996 בין between H776 הארץ the earth H996 ובין H8064 השׁמים and the heaven, H2719 וחרבו sword H8025 שׁלופה having a drawn H3027 בידו in his hand H5186 נטויה stretched out H5921 על over H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem. H5307 ויפל fell H1732 דויד Then David H2205 והזקנים and the elders H3680 מכסים clothed H8242 בשׂקים in sackcloth, H5921 על upon H6440 פניהם׃ their faces.

17 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דויד And David H413 אל unto H430 האלהים God, H3808 הלא not H589 אני I H559 אמרתי commanded H4487 למנות to be numbered? H5971 בעם the people H589 ואני even I H1931 הוא it H834 אשׁר is that H2398 חטאתי have sinned H7489 והרע and done evil indeed; H7489 הרעותי and done evil indeed; H428 ואלה but these H6629 הצאן sheep, H4100 מה what H6213 עשׂו have they done? H3068 יהוה O LORD H430 אלהי my God, H1961 תהי be H4994 נא I pray thee, H3027 ידך let thine hand, H1004 בי ובבית house; H1 אבי on me, and on my father's H5971 ובעמך on thy people, H3808 לא but not H4046 למגפה׃ that they should be plagued.
