1 Chronicles 15:2-14 אז Then אמר said, דויד David לא None לשׂאת ought to carry את ארון the ark האלהים of God כי but אם but הלוים the Levites: כי for בם בחר chosen יהוה them hath the LORD לשׂאת to carry את ארון the ark יהוה ולשׁרתו and to minister עד unto him forever. עולם׃ unto him forever.

H5769 עולם׃ unto him forever.

3 H6950 ויקהל gathered H1732 דויד And David H853 את H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H413 אל together to H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem, H5927 להעלות to bring up H853 את H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל unto H4725 מקומו his place, H834 אשׁר which H3559 הכין׃ he had prepared

4 H622 ויאסף assembled H1732 דויד And David H853 את H1121 בני the children H175 אהרן of Aaron, H853 ואת H3881 הלוים׃ and the Levites:

5 H1121 לבני Of the sons H6955 קהת of Kohath; H222 אוריאל Uriel H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H3967 מאה a hundred H6242 ועשׂרים׃ and twenty:

6 H1121 לבני Of the sons H4847 מררי of Merari; H6222 עשׂיה Asaiah H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H3967 מאתים two hundred H6242 ועשׂרים׃ and twenty:

7 H1121 לבני Of the sons H1648 גרשׁום of Gershom; H3100 יואל Joel H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H3967 מאה a hundred H7970 ושׁלשׁים׃ and thirty:

8 H1121 לבני Of the sons H469 אליצפן of Elizaphan; H8098 שׁמעיה Shemaiah H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H3967 מאתים׃ two hundred:

9 H1121 לבני Of the sons H2275 חברון of Hebron; H447 אליאל Eliel H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H8084 שׁמונים׃ fourscore:

10 H1121 לבני Of the sons H5816 עזיאל of Uzziel; H5992 עמינדב Amminadab H8269 השׂר the chief, H251 ואחיו and his brethren H3967 מאה a hundred H8147 ושׁנים and twelve. H6240 עשׂר׃ and twelve.

11 H7121 ויקרא called H1732 דויד And David H6659 לצדוק for Zadok H54 ולאביתר and Abiathar H3548 הכהנים the priests, H3881 וללוים and for the Levites, H222 לאוריאל for Uriel, H6222 עשׂיה Asaiah, H3100 ויואל and Joel, H8098 שׁמעיה Shemaiah, H447 ואליאל and Eliel, H5992 ועמינדב׃ and Amminadab,

12 H559 ויאמר And said H859 להם אתם unto them, Ye H7218 ראשׁי the chief H1 האבות of the fathers H3881 ללוים of the Levites: H6942 התקדשׁו sanctify yourselves, H859 אתם ye H251 ואחיכם and your brethren, H5927 והעליתם that ye may bring up H853 את H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל unto H3559 הכינותי׃ I have prepared

13 H3588 כי For because H7223 למבראשׁונה at the first, H3808 לא not H859 אתם ye H6555 פרץ made a breach H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H3588 בנו כי upon us, for H3808 לא him not H1875 דרשׁנהו that we sought H4941 כמשׁפט׃ after the due order.

14 H6942 ויתקדשׁו sanctified themselves H3548 הכהנים So the priests H3881 והלוים and the Levites H5927 להעלות to bring up H853 את H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
