20 And straight waye he preached Christ in the Sinagoges, howe that he was the sonne of God,
21 but all that heard him, were amased, & sayd: is not this he, that spoyled them which called on this name in Ierusalem, and came hyther for that entent, that he myght bring them bounde vnto the hye prestes?
22 But Saul encreased the more in strength, & confounded the Iewes which dwelt at Damasco, affyrminge that this was very Christ.
23 And after a good whyle, the Iewes toke councell together, to kill him.
24 But their layinge awayte was knowen of Saul. And they watched the gates daye and nyght to kyll him.
25 Then the disciples toke him by night and put hym thorowe the wall, and let hym downe in a basket.
